Week 4: Personality

The following post is an assignment for my AP Psychology class. I was assigned to write a letter from the perspective of a person with a personality disorder. It is in no way intended to represent actual events or personal details of my life.


Dear Mom and Dad,

College is really great! Every day i make a new list of where to put my clothes and everything in my dorm. I've been staying so organized! I really haven't had that much time to have fun, but that doesn't really matter. The only thing that really bothers me is my room mate. She is SO messy. Yesterday... she left... her SHIRT.. on the floor. I've told her twelve times not to leave anything on the floor. I kind of went off on her pretty bad, but i think now she'll know not to do that. I'm really surprised that there's not a cleaning service that comes around to clean all the hall ways in my dorm. I mean, yesterday, i saw a candy wrapper on floor nine. I proposed a cleaning plan to the Dean of Students, but he didn't take me seriously! I know what you're thinking- you're thinking that i haven't gotten any better. I promise that i have! I never go through my class mates binders organizing anymore! The naturarelief medication is probably helping. Despite having a panic attack yesterday after my run in with my room mate, I've been doing alright. I'm definitely looking forward to coming home in three months! Please make sure you clean my door knob after you touch it, so that when i get home everything is the same. Thanks! Love, Rachael
